Robbie had a Valentines Day party at the Buckley's house. I loved being able to see Robbie with his friends. Of course he ate everything they gave him and wasn't picky. Of course he cried when his balloon was taken from him, of course he listened to every word of the story that Tia Letty read! All because mommy was there! Robbie followed his buddy Andre everywhere.
Robbie's favorite cartoons now are the Superfriends. He loves Batman, Superman and Aquaman in that order I think. The other day he put daddy's work shirt on and pretended he was "uberman". He jumps off the couch and pretends he is flying.
When mommy and daddy are pooped out we sometimes all get into bed together and go to sleep. After our prayer time, Robbie will say "love you too mommy, love you too daddy, love you too Hundley". Pretty soon after he falls asleep, mommy puts him into his own bed because he is all over the place.
During the MLK weekend we did hardcore Potty Training. We spent the weekend side by side with robbie and threw away his diapers. He did great and is now completly potty trained. He loves his Superman and Thomas underwear. On the 3rd day we decided to take the trolley to Old Town. Not sure where my brain was. I don't know why I thought that it was a great idea. We saw at least 3 transients and it felt like the place was crawling with germs and at risk for contracting TB! What made it worse was that I didn't have any sanitizer which I always carry. Robbie at one point even put his mouth on the window rail! YIKES! Robbie did so great with using public restrooms and we ate at the Old Town Mexican Cafe.
Mommy and Robbie met up with an old friend, Michelle. Robbie had a great time with her kids and Robbie has been asking to go back ever since.
He calls Abuelita "lita" and mom tells me that when grandma is falling asleep he goes over and says "wake up". Not suprising since when I'm tired he comes over and tries to open my eyes and says the same thing.
The other day Robbie was getting into my purse. He comes over and says to me "mommy what's this?" it is a feminine product and I'm not sure what to say but I manage to say it's mommy's medicine. It's wrapped up and he motions "drink it?" and I say noooo and then the only other way he knows is motioning to his bottom and says "here?".. ...i'm not even sure what I said but just looked at daddy and giggled!

I praise God for my friend Amy who has been my prayer warrior, friend, spiritual advisor for almost 6 years. I remember first seeing this video like it was yesterday. I was in a spiritual rut. God connected us and through all our failed IVF's she was there for comfort and knowing exactly what I needed to hear when I felt like I was in a deep valley.

Shortly after Robbie was born, she asked for us to pray for her to meet a Christian. About 2 years later she met her Christian man and his name happened to be Christian! God really does listen and when you make your prayers be known, He was really taking it literally ;-)

Amy was married March of 2010. About a month later I had a phone call from Amy asking me about IVF and what to expect. April 2010 she had two embryos implanted and we prayed for God's will that Amy be blessed with a baby at age 42.

God's hands was truly on Amy from the beginning. I reflect back to when I thought I might be pregnant. We were going through our house being on the market for over a year and not being able to sell it. That Monday I woke up and before taking a shower I remember thinking "God what are the chances that 2 good things could happen to me at one time". I then remember thinking that God is capable to move mountains and also make a million good things happen to me. I am in His hands and He is in control.

I say this because when Amy told me that she only had 2 embryos, I again joked "God you have your work cut out for you!" But God again is in control and a few days later Amy found out she was pregnant.

Valentines Day Februrary 14, 2011 Christian Jr. entered the world and looked in his mommy's eyes.

Amy is that person that I can say she has walked the walk. Her testimony lives through life. Past or present, her life is a reflection of the good and the bad stuff that happens in our life in which God is present and His perfect timing knows what is best for us.

Just wanted to give thanks to God for my very special friend and her family

I suppose I don't keep up the blog like I use to because I pretty much stick with the quick and easy way to post about my life.
But thinking lately that I need to write and jot down some things

A few days ago Robbie told me as we were just sitting there " Love you Mom". Music to my ears of course. He has told me he loves me but to say it on his own was wonderful to hear.

We are done with potty training. It reminds me a little of Cesar in how he tell dog owners that he is actually training them not the dogs. Robbie has been potty trained for awhile. It was really a control issue and well just reminding Robbie where his place is in the pack!

The other day Robbie and I were watching Curious George and he's watching George put a balls in boxes they don't fit in. Robbie says "balls don't go in there". In the last few weeks his language is improving. Just the other day the girl at the kids zone at 24 fitness told me that "I'm actually having a conversation with him now".
Robbie is no longer a baby but a full blown toddler with all the energy that goes with it.

About a month ago we had put him to bed but later I found him in our bed reading his Bible! now how could I punish him for doing that!

I love to see him dance and sing at church. I will have to get a better video but he had a great time at church last week possibly because he was getting extra attention and up near the front since I told the kids ministry person that we are still in the beginning stages of training.
Today we went to the Ears, Nose and Throat doctor. For the most part he did fine. The NP did state she noticed his high activity level which may be because he doesn't get rested sleep. The opposite of what you would expect. Robbie got an Xray and needed a little help holding his head still but got stickers and he was fine.

At Christmas he learned to crack eggs perfectly and loves making cookies. I would let him make them more except they are a huge temptation for me. He proably requests to make cookies at least once a week.
Robbie loves wearing his boots. He used to put on moms boots but Grandma gave him firemen and cowboy boots which he loves to put on and pretend.

Grandma Ima taught him jingle bells and his singing voice was finally heard. It's not loud and he occasionally will sing a nonsense kind of jingle. I try to sing but for some reason can never remember words and will just hum. This is the reason they have CD's and I bought him one that has the worship songs from church. We're learning.
He loves puzzles and building robots with daddy. He has really enjoyed watching 70's cartoons lately and thinking I may need to get some videos for him.

Time to sign off as I have to wake Robbie up from his nap in half an hour.

Hopefully I can post again soon

Robbie's first baseball game was commemorated by a pin that he received as he walked through the stadium. The lady made it extra special. The Hernandez Family met in memory of my Grandfather John Hernandez brother Nay Hernandez who played with the Pacific Coast League Padres and was the first Padre to die in action in WWII at the battle of the Bulge. It was great to see their sister Maggie through out the first pitch.
Robbie enjoyed eating his hot dog and pretzels and then it was time to take a walk around the park.
When we got home...just in time to feel another aftershock at home instead of the stadium. Lindsay was still at the game and said everyone was hooting and hollering and the place was a shakin'.
It was also Robbie's first time meeting a police officer. I haven't seen our cousin Marisella "Caella" in over 15 years. She is the same smart alec cousin I remember

Happy Birthday Daddy
